happy birthday to me, love me.

i just booked a flight to equador, May 19-27th. i'm going to spend Alyssa's last week with her.

its about time i went somewhere, learned something.

i cant wait to spend time with her somewhere so amazing.

2 days helping her in the orphanage, a 4 day tour thru the amazon.

back home to start a wonderful summer together.

2008

2008 is a big year. i didnt think about it at the begining, but it already seems as though this year is the craziest, and the one with the most change.

family wise?
-i'm turning 21
-my brother is turning 19, and going on a mission.
-my little sister is turning 16, and will soon be gracing the road with her driving, and all the boys with her kisses.
-my older sister just had her first baby
-which made my parents grandparents
-my parents 25th wedding anniversary
-my older sister and her husband (and i think they are taking the baby:)) are moving to arizona. (kind of a big deal, mostly because they will be the first to leave... and my mom is kind of VERY attatched to the baby, so it should be interesting.)

i'm actually really bummed about that last one. i love my sister, and her family. and its going to be hard to have them so far away. i'll miss her. she is the most amazing person. everything a girl would ever want to be.

today i woke up early and went to the ward i grew up in, with my family, for a farewell of a really close family friend. thats an amazing ward. with the most amazing people. church being at nine though? i could live without. i'm in need of a nap, pronto.

tomorrow i have the plans of a lifetime..... the ZOO. yes. the zoo. i'm hoping jade and allie will be able to join cole and i, but if not, we'll have a blast either way.

all i'm going to say about life since the last post?
everyday is better than the day before.

all i want to say is, i'm glad its back, lost is amazing.

i decided against the last blog i posted, and deleted it.



maybe it was too straight forward, and too soon.



today is a beautiful day out!! this morning when i got up, it was rainy, so i definatly wasnt ready for this sun. i love spring, it brings a smile to my face.



this week has been amazing thus far. monday, and tuesday were both really busy days at work, busy days pass so fast. monday night i stayed home, by request, with B. we watched Edward Scissorhands, and hung out with the pups. rad needs to be de-manned. he wont stop humping. i enjoy it when B and i get to hangout. we've lived together for five months... and there are only a handful of times we actually spent time together. what a bummer. the time passed quickly, we'll hopefully still get to hangout at least some, once she lives at home again.



tuesday night was... ha, tuesday night was out of this world. insane. and so much fun. spent with good company. we ended up eating food, book searching, treat buying, and watching The HeartBreak Kid, and then Martian Child. both quality flicks.



i've missed at least five calls from Lys this week. its so hard to catch her, and she usually calls while i'm working or napping. so Lys, call now.



tomorrow i work at David Douglas (the salon in provo i worked at for over a year before moving to salt lake. i come down every thursday to do my clients.) i had nothing going on at home tonight, so i decided to come to my parents house for the day today. i'll just sleep down here, and then head to work tomorrow. Brittney is coming in to get her hair done. she will be happy about my updates.



life is good. i'm happy.

babies, cousins, lots of food.

tomorrow my nephew is being blessed. which means family came into town today, well... some family. enough to make it worth while to drive down from salt lake this afternoon to spend a little time with them. i love surrounding myself with the people that make me smile. family i havent seen in awhile? easily brings a smile to my face.

only downside? i then have to update them on recent events. i'd rather not talk about it.

this week has been suprisingly good.

-i got to see Brittney earlier this week (my best friend, we grew up together, another day another blog.) we went to lunch, and got to catch up. it doesnt happen often, but i'm thankful for when it does, a breath of fresh air.
-i've talked to Alyssa multiple times. (my other best friend, we met at eighties, it was love at first sight) she's gone for another five weeks. i'm excited for her to come back, and for summer to start.
-i took a few days off work. to clear my head. eat. and try to sleep. only half of which i ended up being able to do.
-the days i did work, went by fast, with lots of appointments and happy clients.
-i spent alot of time with people that mean alot to me.

i learned? its hard to be sad when everyone around you is happy.

on the opposite, Rad has a love for eating underwear.
.... that stupid dog.

welcome to my world

alot is changing, and alot has changed. i figured the best way to deal would be to share it and keep a record. make sure i dont forget anything as i'm figuring life out.



crazy how it changes on you. one second you think you know exactly where you'll be, the next second everything is different. i'm not saying for better, and i'm not saying for worse. just different.



i recently moved to salt lake, which isn't far from where i grew up, but it's far enough. i moved up here for the salon i'm working in, Lunatic Fringe, its rated the top salon in the state, which makes me feel extremly lucky. not many people wake up, and feel excited to go to work. i do. feel free to be jealous.



as life is changing, and i'm growing up a bit, its good to find stability in family, friends, and work. i know those things wont change.
